![]() Also, hitting certain body parts can raise your chances of getting the weapon that part is equipped with, or so I've heard told. I wasn't Silenced or anything, it was just that my Intelligence was way down because my head was damaged. Once Ashley's head was in a "dying" state, and I tried to cast Heal but it didn't work. Like attacking legs sometimes lowers the enemy's movement by 50%. Make sure you've got a weapon type not totally incompatible, and then you're in business.Īttacking certain parts sometimes have added bonuses. You could get a grip with two gem slots, add two gems to boost fire affinity, and then cast Spark Fusion on yourself. Obviously it's not going to be ready-made so you can either make it yourself (be careful when combining gear though, make sure you're not making a shittier weapon) or modify what you've got with better girps, Gems and Elemental magic. Class and affinity are determined by the enemies you attack, so if you want to take down an enemy that's a Beast and is weak againt Earth, you potentially want a weapon that has both aspects (ideally). Type is important as if you're attacking an enemy with particularly strong defense against the weapon type you're attacking with, it'll basically be pointless. Weapons have three characteristics - class, affinity and type. I'd say go look up a good FAQ, but here's a brief sharing of what I know, which isn't as much as a lot of people. attacking spellcaster monster on head is also a good idea since if you can do enough damage you will stop them from casting spell for a while Lastly when you fight a dragon be sure to always get under his neck or else you are going to get toasted. ![]() If you want to specialize a weapon in dealing against certain kind of monster there are dummies all over the place that you can hit over and over without fear of retalation Remember that the kind of damage a weapon does depend from his grip so for example if you are using a mace be sure that the grip of that mace is of the blunt kind If you need some decent weapon try to reach the iron maiden! you can't complete it on your first playtrough but you can still get some sweet weapon ![]() Later you find some spell that can change the elemental affinity of your weapon for a short time, those help a lot! in fact after getting all 4 of them i was able to kick every boss ass (except the final one) without a single problem both these skill ignore defense so no affinity crap! The second let you do damage equal to the 10% of difference between your max hp and your current hp. there is a phsyical version and a magical version get both of them! The first is a defense ability that can send back 25% of the damage you receive back to the sender. If you are having problems with boss you should get two ability. Get good at using defense arts to reduce or repel spell and physical damage. So just small three hitters and nickel and dime those mofos till they're dead. If you start doing a combo in the 10-15 range your RISK goes up exponentially with each consecutive strike. This means not doing too many combos at once. If you are using the right weapons and chain abilities you should do more damage. If its an elemental, strengthen your weapon with the proper gems and buff them with elemental spells. Also, try not to combine blades of differing weapon types (such as a dagger with a great sword) unless you are positive it yields the blade type you need - almost all of these differing blade type combos yield poor results.īe sure to cast DEGENERATE on your foes and PROSTASIA on Ashley, this will weaken them while strengthening you. I suggest you look up one of the weapon/armor faqs on gamefaqs, because there are literally 1000s of combinations, that way you can be sure how to get the most out of your extra blades. When combining blades in the workshop, you have to be very careful as most combinations do not yield a better blade, even if becomes a higher grade material.
